Another Banking Crisis?

THE WEEK
And yet another very “interesting” week of the trading. On Wednesday at 2:30pm , Jerome Powell
announced the Fed’s decision to raise interest rate by .25. The ensuing price action was hard swings
up and down. These swings allowed for some very fast day trading to take advantage of the
reactions.

LOOKING AHEAD – WHAT’S NEXT?

Some banks are struggling.  World wide there have been some bank failures.  Barr is testifying before the Senate on Wednesday and Thursday.  The question on everyone’s mind is how did this happen again.  After the 2008 banking breakdown, stringent rules and guidelines were put in place to avoid the situation.  The reports I have read on SVB and Signature show these guidelines were ignored.  We will know more on Wednesday and there may be another wild Price/action swing.  I am trading very cautiously in the meantime.

HOW AM I DOING?  107% gain over 10 weeks of trading

On Friday we completed our final DATA session for this quarter.  I did double my trading account with the help of some quick and dirty trades around Wednesday’s chaos.  The trading was not what most people signed on for.  Too much day trading.  But unfortunately, those were the opportunities the Market gave us.  My total gain for 10 weeks of trading was 107%.  Pretty darn good in all the adverse direction changes.
